Mark's 30-year career in journalism began in newspapers, including the Evening Standard and he became Africa and then industrial correspondent at the Financial Times.
He moved into broadcast media in 1983, joining ITN News where his roles included political correspondent, economics and business editor and bureau chief in Moscow and in Ireland. In 2005 he became news correspondent at Channel Five News and then changed direction to work as a political spokesperson and a director of the Charities Aid Foundation.
He has lectured extensively on presentation, media and crisis communications.
