The Thomson Foundation delivers industry-leading media training and consultancy services across the globe. But we can’t do it alone.
Some of our most important work – raising professional standards and encouraging open access to fair, accurate information – is in countries that can least afford expensive training.
And while the Thomson Foundation operates on a not-for-profit basis, keeping costs as low as possible, we simply can’t pay course fees.
That’s why support from partners and sponsors who share our vision is so vital. We work in partnership with governments, grant foundations and commerical enterprises to deliver training that really makes a difference, where it is most needed.
Everyone wins
Projects can range from the EU-funded European Journalism Network, to BP’s sponsorship of a programme to upskill key journalists in Azerbaijan, to local business support for online enterprise courses. Nothing is too big or too small.
The investment can be modest. The benefits for our partners and the communities they serve can be huge.
Time and time again, the training we deliver to a handul of people has been proven to have a positive impact on the life of whole communities … and nations. Everyone wins.
If your organisation can give support, or you have a partnership project you’d like to discuss, please get in touch with the Thomson Foundation today.
