Building a long-lasting partnership with an international media organisation

In the early 1980s, Thomson Foundation began its long-standing alliance with China’s state news agency by establishing a joint journalism training school in Beijing. The intervening years have seen Thomson Foundation help shape reporting on everything from social affairs and business and finance to sport in the run-up to the Beijing Olympics. Today, as Xinhua becomes a multimedia agency, the foundation offers critical advice on video newsgathering and digital storytelling.
