Supporting independent media in 17 countries neighbouring the EU

In the biggest single contract in its history, Thomson Foundation led a multi-million euro project to support and train independent media in 17 of the countries neighbouring the European Union. At the heart of the project sat the idea that good journalism at its best can improve understanding and ease tensions in times of international conflict. A key part was to build a media hub, a platform where journalists can share work with each other and channels in the EU.
