Supporting investigative journalism to combat corruption

The South Asian Inquirer Awards are part of a programme to support South Asian journalists in exposing fraud and corruption. Since 2013, investigative journalists from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have been recognised for their work in highlighting corruption and financial mismanagement often in testing circumstances. With the competition accompanied by training sessions on how to cover transparency and public finance, reporters get a firmer grip on how to deal with corruption issues in a balanced way.
