Thomson Foundation

inquirer award 2009

Getting beyond the stereotypes in the Middle East is a challenge. But The Thomson Foundation’s flagship Inquirer Award is helping reporters in the region cut through the rhetoric to dig out the deeper story.

The Foundation realises the critical role that editors in the region have in giving journalists the space and
opportunity to implement what they have learnt.

The Thomson Foundation is proud to launch The Inquirer Award 2009 in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq.

The Inquirer Award is a media initiative that aims to find the journalist who can demonstrate an ability to examine, in depth, a significant issue that is relevant to the region and its people. Award will this year be made in three categories: print, television and photojournalism.

Full entry details in Arabic and English, and links to application forms, appear below.

• The winners of The Inquirer Award 2008 were announced at a special ceremony in Amman, Jordan, under the patronage of HRH Princess Rym Ali.
