Jessica came to the foundation in August 2019, and is responsible for providing administrative support to the project and finance managers, as well as general office management.
Prior to joining the Thomson Foundation, Jessica worked as a key educational skills tutor for disadvantaged children in East London. She has a keen interest in human rights, and spent time volunteering on the Young Refugee Project with the British Red Cross. She was also instrumental in establishing the UCL chapter of Student Action for Refugees.
She holds a joint honours BA in German and Russian from University College London, UCL, with a particular focus on modern and early modern literature, and spent a year studying and working in Berlin and Saint Petersburg as part of her studies.
Currently, she is studying for her Graduate Diploma in Law with the University of Law.
