
This project aimed to improve two-way communication between the Chinese government, media and public, hence the title: Hearing the Public Voice.
Over the 12-month duration of the project, Thomson Foundation consultants led a series of training and collaborative events including: Workshop for senior reporters, focusing on media ethics, investigative reporting skills and relations between the media, public and government. Workshop for government policy officials and press officers, geared around more effective media relations. Development of communication guidelines for government and media professionals in collaboration with The Southwest University of Politics and Law. Study visit to UK for government officials and media regulators.
