This highly-practical course is for journalists who want to rise to the challenge of the digital age, making the most of new technology, techniques and information sources, including social media.

Journalists can expect an intensely practical course, with opportunities to meet working journalists from the UK and explore a wide range of approaches to radio reporting.

Who’s it for

Professional radio journalists (reporters and producers) working at intermediate level or above, who want to consolidate and develop their skills. This course will be of particular interest to radio professionals with analogue production skills who need to work with digital media.

Advanced/Refresher Video Journalism Training Workshop

Course Description:

The course is designed for practising Video Journalists who would like to develop their storytelling, camera and editing skills. The aim is to increase technical ability and build confidence.

Who’s it for:

Practicing video journalists who have the basic skills of camera operation with a Sony PD170, Z1, Z7, a Panasonic P2 or similar VJ camera. They will also have basic editing skills using including Avid Xpress Pro, Newscutter, Media Composer software or Apple Final Cut Pro.
