Course summary
This highly-practical course will develop the skills and confidence needed to excel as a photographer working with newspapers, magazines and online media.
Participants will be working individually and part of a team to research, shoot, edit and print picture stories throughout the month.
Renowned photojournalists will visit the course to share their experiences and tips, and a book featuring the work of participants will be produced at the end of the course.

Photojournalism workshop
The course:
This course is designed to improve standards in all areas of the photojournalist’s work, including news, features, portraiture, the arts and sport. Working closely with a highly-experienced trainer and in close collaboration with other delegates, it combines photographic theory and ethics with practical assignments based on situations of genuine journalistic merit.
Who’s it for:
- Photojournalists at all levels. with a working knowledge of cameras and associated equipment.
- Can be adapted for newspaper and magazine reporters developing photojournalism skills and photographers moving into journalism.
