Iryna Kosova is responsible for finance and administration support of Thomson Foundation training activities in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and other countries. She performs project financial reporting within FCO-funded projects, as well as the EU and MFA.
Currently, Iryna provides assistance in financial reporting for a €6million Brussel-based project, OPEN Media Hub, which includes Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, and other EU Neighbourhood countries.
As a financial manager, Iryna supervised a €2million project in Ukraine funded by the European Union. Among her other responsibilities are budget development, liaison with potential partners, preparation for international audit and liaison with donors on finance-related issues.
Prior to joining the foundation, Iryna worked with the Danish Refugee Council/Danish Demining Group (DCR/DDG) to respond to humanitarian needs in the conflict-affected areas in eastern Ukraine. In cooperation with the head of field office, Iryna launched the DCR/DDG office in Mariupol during the turbulence in January 2015 (severe shelling of the city). She managed budgets of projects funded by different donors, including DFID, ECHO, UNICEF, UNHCR and OFDA.
Iryna also worked as a finance and administrative officer in the DRC's project to develop capacity of the asylum authorities and civil society working with child refugees. Iryna was engaged as an economic consultant in the international consultancy and engineering company CFI ‘Tebodin Ukraine'.
She holds a master's degree in finance and speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian.
