As development manager, Christine Liehr sources and manages our media development projects. She has a specific focus on donor relations within the EU.
Christine joined us in October 2017 to support our newly established partner in Germany, Thomson Media.
She has worked in the development sector for a number of years, focusing on social entrepreneurship and media development in Southeast Asia and the MENA region.
Prior to joining Thomson Media, she worked as a marketing and project manager for the social enterprise Friends-International in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. At Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT), a private NGO based in Berlin, she managed projects in West Africa and the MENA region including a media-financing programme called Media Pioneers and the Media Academy Iraq in Erbil.
Christine holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in European Management from Lancaster University respectively the European School of Business and a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Westminster in London. She speaks German, English and has a good working knowledge of French.
