Dheepa Balasundaram

Dheepa leads Thomson Foundation’s Finance & IT department and is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience working in organisations with a social cause.

With a particular focus on developing and delivering positive change, Dheepa has worked in a range of senior roles at board level as both an executive and a non-executive director.

Before joining Thomson, she worked for a range of international and national charities including BBC Media Action (as their first ever Finance Director), Shelter, Great Ormond Street Charity, Mencap, the Refugee Council, International Planned Parenthood Foundation and the Freedom Fund.
