Bali Media Forum

The Bali Media Forum, an annual conference attracting some 200 journalists and media support organisations from 25 countries, has been promoting ethical standards in journalism and exchanges between journalists in the region for the last six years. The process has created a network of press councils in Southeast Asia and key reference documents on principles of journalists’ ethics. Consultants from Thomson Foundation have provided advice to new press councils in Myanmar and Timor Leste as well as Indonesia.
