Promoting balanced reporting in the coverage of HIV/AIDS

The HIV/AIDS pandemic was at its height in Malawi in 2001. Journalists were encouraged to shift away from negative reporting and seek out positive stories about people living with HIV/AIDS to help change attitudes and reduce social discrimination. Three short programmes produced were broadcast on World Aids Day by the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation.
