David is a multimedia consultant who specialises in news video strategy, AI solutions and future trends of journalism. His recent work with Thomson was for the CME Media group delivering a masterclass on the future of the media and audience engagement to potential newsroom leaders. 

David is a former BBC editor and journalist. He ran the first BBC multimedia newsroom to be staffed entirely by video journalists, and led strategic programmes developing BBC policy on social media, OSINT, verification and multimedia working. He continues to work with the BBC as a consultant on major projects.  

David advises news organisations in developing media landscapes. He has designed multimedia newsrooms for broadcasters in Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Syria and throughout South Asia.
